New medication study for patients with type 2 diabetes. Elligible subjects do not have to be currently taking any antidiabetic medication (i.e., metformin). However, patients that are unsuccesful in managing their type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise alone or taking only one antidiabetic medication or low-dose dual therapy may qualify.
